IsoGuard is a compliance field services business. Two disciplines: fire safety for premises owners and facilities managers, and decontamination and validation for live data centres. Both come down to the same thing, which is proving the state of something rather than asserting it.
Trained to the standard on the report.
A report is only worth what stands behind it. Ours carry photographs, meter readings and dates, against the published standards below, so the finding can be checked rather than taken on trust.
That standard also sets the ceiling on how fast we grow. We would rather turn work down than send someone who has not been trained to it.
The standards, and where we actually stand.
Compliance work attracts vague claims. These are the specific standards behind what we do, including the one we have not finished yet.
- ISO 14644-1
- Cleanroom air cleanliness classification. We validate against Class 8 using a particle counter calibrated to ISO 21501-4, and the report carries the readings.
- BS 5306
- The British Standard for the provision, commissioning and maintenance of fire extinguishers. It sets the siting rules and the service intervals we work to.
- Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
- The law that makes you the responsible person for your premises, and has required you to keep written fire safety records since October 2023.
- BAFE standards
- We work to BAFE standards on fire equipment. BAFE technician certification is in progress, and we will say so here the day it lands rather than before.
